• Job Overview:
A Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that business goals and technology solutions align. They act as a liaison between stakeholders and the IT team, gathering requirements, analyzing data, and recommending solutions to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Data Analysis: Analyze business data and trends to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to streamline and optimize business processes.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that address business challenges.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation, including business requirement documents, process flows, and system specifications.
- Testing & Validation: Support testing of solutions, ensuring that systems meet business requirements and are functioning as expected.
- Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, including defining scope, timelines, and deliverables, and track progress against goals.
- Change Management: Help manage changes to business processes and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption.
- Reporting: Create and deliver reports and presentations to stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and progress.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of business processes and systems
- Proficiency in data analysis and using tools like Excel, SQL, or BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Jira, Confluence)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello)
• Work Environment:
- Office-based, remote, or hybrid depending on the company
- Full-time position, with potential for flexible working hours
